Crafts » DinoScout (2004 - 2005)
This case-con was build together with "decoman" after discovering that we had very similar (and now quite embarrassing) bags in primary school. Since they were of slightly different sizes, we put the mainboard into the bigger one to give the fans on CPU and graphics card enough room to do their work. Power supply, hard drives, floppy drive and CD-ROM drive went into the smaller bag, where the CD-ROM perfectly fit into the front pocket.
We painted all metal parts (as usually cut from an old computer case) and the front panels of the drives blue in order to match the interior material of the bags. All openings can be closed with lids cut from the orginal cover material. The power switch was integrated into one of the dinosaur logos, including a special trick: The dinosaur's eye blinks whenever the harddrives are busy. As a small extra, we also put two speakers into a matching belly bag.
